They say life is like a bowl of cherries
sweet, juicy, tasty. Watch out for the pits.
Isn’t that what Erma Bombeck once said?
No, but: “what am I doing in the pits?”
(which contain cyanide-like amygdalin).
She’s long dead, a complicated transplant.
Instead, I was
So similar to shiny red cherries,
Or tomato like Jerusalem Cherries,
Holly berries, mistletoe or yaw seeds.
However sliced, they are still toxic.
Death from
Like the serpent in Eden, spoke to Eve,
With fruit in hand, she tempted Adam.
“Just a little
What was the real forbidden fruit?
Some say grape, apple, fig, carob,
Citron, pear, wheat berry, quince or tamarind,
Or colorful psilocybin mushrooms.
Many say it was a pomegranate.
But really, it’s an extended metaphor
For anything immoral or illegal.
Don’t become the original sinner
Eating from the tree of good and evil,
Eating from the tree of knowledge.
Now eating is a plague for all sinners,
All now are gluttonous and insatiable.
Many watch their weight and waistline go up.
Others with excesses of recreations,
Be it drugs, drink or sexual desires.
Not a thought of balance or right from wrong.
Some choose self-denial and self-abuse,
Engorge, then purge all they once had eaten.
Their lack of self-esteem can’t be beaten.
Actions depend on how others treat them.
Choose to wither and cut themselves to pieces.
Piglet is the great joy of my stressed life
Until she stopped living up to her name,
Now she has little or no appetite.
She now has new-onset diabetes,
Pancreatitis, gall bladder stones,
After the electrolyte imbalances.
Too much or not enough eating is bad.
Right now, my life is dark and too very sad.
Piglet’s smile can
Her face like a cherubic sunflower,
Looking next for something to devour.
I harness everything in my power,
Critical care vet, money and Reiki
To heal my loved, ailing canine daughter.
I pray don’t take the light from those brown eyes,
All I can do is pay, as my eyes cry.
The difference between good and evil,
pay vet bill versus pet euthanasia.
What is right and wrong is lost in translation.
Suddenly my world is falling apart.
I struggle to survive financial stress,
Responsibilities hit from all sides
larger from the wolf blood moon and eclipse effects.
Will I ever shovel out of this debt?
I only want my beloved pet alive.
I pray soon she stabilizes,
She will need a diabetic diet
And insulin shots twice a day,
And other medicines I need to pay.
Piglet is the joy of my life, please pray.
They say there is a merciful God,
But, why do bad things happen to the good?
Through which we build just so much character.
That is something I never understood.
Believe in metaphysical karma.
Piglet’s strut and stance is the dance of life.
She is certainly putting up a fight,
The fight for love, life
For me, there’s no human to do the same.
Piglet’s love and joy
Through hardships, I will never be the same.
Only through prayer, can I tame inner rage,
Of disgust and such inequality.
In love, weather the storm together.
Whatever will be, will be, is destiny.
My breaking heart, like Piglet’s bile duct sludge
Through painful, hard times, together we will drudge.
Explore sewers to our souls to find
Don’t look at the vet bill, it’s out of sight.
Light and love, all that matters and is right.
Oh, Forbidden fruit, I seek much knowledge.
Chose to spend the best years of life in college,
To make a difference and to be a light.
I hope this is much karmic currency,
Restore the joy and dance in Piglet’s life.
Piglet is the great joy of my family’s life.
This roto-rooter of our inner self,
Microscopic exam of what matters,
Daily life and routine
Dance of life, joy, and love only matters.
Piglet first stole my heart when I saw her,
At an adoption event in a store.
Her jovial smile lit up the shop.
I asked her name, then she peed on the floor.
Her smile, name, and strut convinced me enough.
Piglet, sugar, spice, and everything nice,
Reminiscent of Winnie
Piglet found herself a new, loving home.
Like Prosecco, bubbly, and refreshing.
Piglet’s Filled with zest, zeal, and light of life.
Now I pray, reach the bottom of my soul,
Piglet’s eyes appear a bit lackluster
My
Through love, I harness life force energy,
To rekindle the light in Piglet’s eyes.
Once upon a time, an orphaned pug
Reached out to me, inhabited my soul,
uncluttered my heart of painful baggage.
She showed me goodness existed in the world.
Piglet and I, each other’s Lamplighter.
Like day and night or two peas in a pod,
Piglet and I are interspecies twins.
Piglet, a lighthouse in a darkened storm,
Helps me find safety and peace any day.
Piglet is joy, love, and light every day.
